The start of a brand new year and we can think of no better place to be than amongst our friends at The City Folk Club Chichester.

Sheringham Folk Club held at The Burlington Hotel Esplanade Sheringham Norfolk. 14th April 2010.
A very welcoming and friendly club that meets on the second Wednesday of the month, organized by Eddie Bailey of The Sheringham Shanty Men. This club must have one of the finest views of any in the country.
The hotel looks out onto the North Sea and you can watch a spectacular sunset while enjoying the excellent music.

The Broadside Folk Club held at The Old House at Home, Locksway Road Portsmouth. 17th February 2010
Our first visit to the club since August 2009 George the compare jokingly said not to leave it so long next time. A brilliant evening was had by one and all. The club meets every Wednesday night come rain or shine and is very welcoming, well worth a visit.
Sing Around held at The Two Mile Oak just outside Newton Abbot on the Totnes Road. 21st February 2010
We were made to feel very welcome by the landlord and the other performers Bernie and Nigel at this traditional Devon pub. With a roaring fire and Otter ale straight from the barrel a perfect way to spend an evening sharing songs old and new. Hope to be able to join them on another Sunday evening.
Sing Around held at The Union Inn, Denbury, nr Newton Abbot. 25th February 2010.
A well attended traditional session with some excellent singers and musicians. A special mention goes out to the double bass player and the poor teddy bear who was used to beat the bodhran. They meet every Thursday evening in this well frequented pub.
Nonsuch Folk Club Bishops Waltham held at The Bishops Waltham Social Club. 9th March 2010.
A very friendly club run by Mike and Janice that meets every Tuesday evening at 8pm. Some very fine musicians and singers with occasional guest nights. We will return again soon.
The Village Folk Club Catisfield, held at The Limes Catisfield Lane Fareham. 3rd April 2010.
Our first visit this year to this excellent club MC'd by Paul Hawkins. This club has some very fine singers, musicians and story tellers who made us feel very welcome again. The club meets the first Saturday of the month with a guest appearing bi-monthly.

A brilliant and friendly club ably run by Phil which meets in the main bar of the pub on the 1st Thursday of the month. They start off with a singaround at 8pm then finish with a jam session which even I was able to keep up with. Highly recommended.
Havant Folk Club at Cricket/Hockey Club Pavilion, Havant. 20th June 2010
The club meets on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 7:45pm. Nice venue, cheap beer, very friendly and welcoming. An informal singaround a good time was had by one and all. Looking forward to next month.
